SPA SUMMER CLASSIC, 2019
Final preparations are underway for the Crosslé Racing Drivers’ Club annual outing to the Spa Summer Classic meeting on June 28, 29 and 30 at Spa Francorchamps circuit.

This year CRDC will bring a total of nine Crosslé 9S Sports racers from UK, Ireland and Switzerland. Who will take the podium places this year? - the drivers are very keen and ‘secret’ testing is underway!.

As always, we are in the Spa Ardennes Challenge with 30 mins qualifying and 2 x 40 mins races. This year we will be located in the F1 pits, visitors are most welcome, so please pop along to find us and have a chat.

Crosslé Racing Drivers’ Club will present the following awards for results in the 2019 Spa Ardennes Challenge :

Class awards - Drivers securing places 1, 2 and 3 in each race will be awarded a Bottle of Fluteau Champagne.

Fastest lap - 2.40.626 is the best recorded time for a 9S at Spa, set by Paul Smith in 2016. A Magnum of Fluteau Champagne will be awarded to the 9S driver whose fastest lap this year beats this time, either in practice or during the two races. We have several drivers capable of achieving it, but Paul returns to defend his record and try to take the bubbly.

The CRDC Perpetual Challenge Cup will be awarded to the driver who sets the fastest time on aggregate over the two races. Times will be calculated on the final official times published for the Spa Ardennes Challenge 2019, and the Cup will be presented at our AGM later in the year.

Our drivers’ dinner will be held on the evening of Saturday 29 June at a restaurant convenient to the circuit. Champagne reception at 19.30 hrs, prior to dinner.
